DBA

We are looking for a Data Engineer / DBA based in Spain, experienced in managing relational databases management
systems such as MySQL in AWS Cloud. Interested in managing, improving, maintaining, and providing database
administration support running in the cloud. All in Artificial Intelligence environments related with Natural Language
Processing, serving and processing near 5 Billion requests per day, across many Cloud production clusters spread across 7
AWS regions worldwide.

You’ll be part of our team, working hard with our great clients, and have a major hand in building very successful features for
Inbenta. Leading customer integrations and on-premises tasks. We always work on interesting projects and we have a good
time doing them. We usually work in a team, and this allows us to learn every day from other co-workers.

YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE…

● Be in charge of the creation, design, configuration, implementation, maintenance and operation of the databases
of our clients.
● Apply automation and software to any tasks or parts of the system that would benefit from it or are performed
manually.
● Monitor all production and non-production database environments on a daily basis including database health,
database performance, database storage, database backups, database jobs, ETL, workflow processes, etc. Resolve or
escalate issues accordingly.
● Participate in schema design, implementation, and data migration over large MySQL databases.
● Participate in database releases in all the different environments. Build, test, and execute database-related
deployments.
● Help build end-to-end solutions with a focus on performance, high availability, and growth needs of our customers.
● Create tools and automation to improve database administration and management efficiency.
● Participate in research & development (R&D) projects to improve the database infrastructure security, performance,
manageability, and availability.
● Keep up-to-date with security and proactively identify, diagnose, and solve complex security issues.

SKILLS
● BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related subject (Telecommunications, Mathematics,
Physics),or Higher Education (CFGS) in development or related fields.
● Languages: English fluent (at least First Certificate Level).
● Languages: Spanish and/or Catalan native, English fluent (at least First Certificate Level).
● 2+ years of experience in MySQL / PostgreSQL database administration in production and non-production
environments.
● Knowledge in AWS Cloud.
● Strong SQL language knowledge.
● Knowledge and experience in coding solutions to automate tasks and processes such as Python or Bash scripting.
● Appreciable Linux system skills.
