MANUFACTURE OF WET WIPES FROM THE PARTS OF SEEMAI

KARUVELAM TREE (prosopisjuliflora)

Good personal hygiene is one of the best ways to protect you from gastro and

infectious diseases such as COVID-19, cold and flu. Washing your hands with soap

removes germs but it is impossible to carry everywhere so it is better to use wet wipes.

Instead of using normal medicinal plant it is identified to use plant named Seemai

karuvelamaram one of the most invasive plant, which has created negative biodiversity in

many parts of the world, about 1500 crores are paid by the government for the eradication

of this tree but still it is not eradicated. This tree has a massive tendency to absorb water

even under the ground level through the penetration of roots which in turn used for

making our wipes with more moisture content than other chemical wet wipes and it is

100% viscous fabric without any molten polymers and plastic fibres. They are produced

from the cellulose of Seemai karuvelammaram and processed into a fibrous material.

Even this wipes can be made with good fragrance using natural scenting agents.
