SUPERHEROES
What does it take to be a superhero? Stan Lee is maybe the best person to answer this question. The
creator of Spider-Man, the X-Men, the Fantastic Four, the Daredevil, Iron Man, Captain America and
the Incredible Hulk, created his heroes to help people who need them.
The Incredible Hulk isn’t like the other superheroes. Most superheroes wear red and blue, this one is
green and purple. Lee makes the Hulk a scientist, Dr. David Banner, who changes into a monster
when he gets angry. The Hulk looks like a monster but acts like a hero. He doesn’t want to hurt
people and he doesn’t talk. He is a good person but people are afraid of him. They hunt him and try
