Hi Julia,

I’m in the mountains in Wales at summer camp. I’m staying here for one week – I got here the day before
yesterday, on Saturday evening! We’re staying in a hostel and I’m in a room with six other girls We’re on the
Multi Activity course so we do lots of different activities every day.

Yesterday was our first day. We got up at 7:00 am and we had a big breakfast. I didn’t have bacon and eggs but
my friends did. In the morning we did two activities: first we made a raft and then we rode BMX bikes. After
lunch, we went into the garden. My friends played ball games but I didn’t play – I just watched. In the
afternoon, I went horse riding for the first time and I didn’t fall off! I was a bit scared, but luckily my horse
didn’t run. She walked very slowly!

The last activity of the day was swimming. After dinner we had a team quiz. My team didn’t win, but it was fun.

Tomorrow, we’re climbing trees in the morning and in the afternoon we’re going body-boarding in the sea – it’s
like surfing.
