Science

According to Akbasli et.al (2016), students who have a broad understanding of what

they read perform exceptionally well in science studies. Also according to recent studies,

reading comprehension has a significant impact on students’ science learning. Although not

all treatments proved to be equally beneficial, the majority of assessment studies revealed

significant positive benefits on reading competence in science. According to Bradford (2017),

a systematic and logical process of discovering how things within the universe work are

known as science. It is also the collection of information gained as a result of discoveries

concerning everything in the universe. In addition, stated by Homden (2017), science is one

of the oldest and most significant fields of study, and it includes a diverse range of topics.

Furthermore, as stated by Mccrackin (2017), science is also a method of asking questions

about the natural world that can be answered by repeatable observations or experiences.

Natural sciences such as physics, chemistry, and biology as well as social sciences such as

economics, are all under the scope of sciences. Homden (2017), added that science is often

divided into three main subjects in schools across the world. First is the Biology, which is the

study of all things living, whether they be plants, animals, or microorganisms (Lim, 2020).

Secondly, Chemistry which deals with the structure, characteristics, and behavior of matter in

order to determine when they change in chemical processes (Hambly, n.d.). Thirdly is the

Physics, which is the study of matter and energy and how they interact with one another

(Jones, 2019).
