DURING THE GAME

- Ready position is having your legs bent with a staggered stance, have your racket head up and be
prepared to move forward/backward or to the sides.

- If the birdie is hit between the two of you, try calling for the birdie or whichever player has the closest
racket to the birdie, should hit the birdie.

As you can read below in the rubric, you can read more about the following Skills/shots used in PE

Clear Shot = the birdie lands high and deep in bounds (use when opponents are close to the net)

Drop Shot = contact is a gentle "push" of the birdie and it lands close to the net

Smash Shot = racket face is pointed downward thus hitting the birdie downwards in bounds and if
successful, it is unreturnable

ERRORS aka FAULTS

The point goes to the other team if you:

- hit it more than once time on your side

- touch the net with your body or racket

- hit the birdie out of bounds (Middle School is allowed two chances to serve)
