‘FaithFULL’ in Heart, in Mind, and in Spirit

While many people are diverse when it comes to beliefs—whether they are henotheists,

polytheists, or even atheists, there is an absolute truth present in all humans—faith.

When we were born, it is understandable that faith is not yet present as in the context of

the normal or adult faith. Through the values learned from society, it is indisputable that there are

meanings formed in objects that unite and establish order in the people. This is why there is a

natural trust in the hearts of the members of a community or the affective component of faith.

Hence, humans possess that strong confidence in their hearts that some of the beliefs in their

society are for their benefit or the common good.

While faith may be considered an abstract concept for others, in the minds of people, they

have the conviction of believing in things based on their experiences. This is the reason why

people dedicate their time and energy to specific things as it is the human’s natural response to

their perception of beauty in which they believe. Thus, the cognitive component of faith is

valuable as it provides direction to one’s life.

Moreover, faith is also transcendental as placing one’s trust, for instance, in God, proves

the human’s need for spiritual nurturing. Faith can be the center of one’s spirit as it shows the

sense or the purpose of one’s life. Therefore, it is important to see faith more deeply as it

explains one’s actions for sense-making in life.

Indeed, faith is inseparable from humans as one’s full trust, confidence, and conviction

through mind, heart, and spirit gives the purpose of one’s existence.
