The sun is the star closest to earth
The sun is 333,000 times the mass of the earth

Its diameter is 109 times earth’s diameter
The sun rotates on its polar axis
The sun takes 25 earth days to make one complete rotation at a speed of 2km/sec
Based on its size and color our sun is relatively middle aged.
It was formed 46 billion years ago and it is expected to stay the same for a few billion years more.
