Careers in Transportation and Aviation

Project Layout: please use the following format to layout the project:

 There must be a title page including your course code and name.
 There must be a resources page (bibliography) that clearly shows all of
the web and book resources used to create the project.
 The project must be submitted in a presentation folder of some type or
electronically via Google.

Instructions:
The transportation industry and aerospace employ a great many people
on a global scale; however, since the events of 911 Canada has suffered a huge
decline in both areas. It is important for you to make an informed career choice
when considering aviation or transportation as your chosen profession.

 Research the available careers in both areas using the resource links
supplied here. You may be required to find additional resources for
information so don’t limit your search.
 Clearly list all of the available careers in the field of your choice and
provide a brief description of each one. Use your own words, DO NOT
COPY AND PASTE!
 Highlight those areas that you are most interested in and explore that
career or careers in detail. To do so consider the following:
 What are the essential skills I need to learn?
 What are the graduating requirements I need for entry to a
college or university in this area of study?
 What post secondary institutions offer the courses I need and
where are they located?
 Will I need to relocate?
 If I pursue a career in this field what can I expect to earn?
 Will I need to relocate to find an apprenticeship or a job?
 What is the current trend in this industry and what is driving
that trend?
Resources: The resource web sites listed below have been created in
collaboration with employers, educational institutions, and the government
both federal and provincial. On the web pages you will be able to find almost
anything you need to know about career paths and employment in Canada.
