The Incestuous Patch-Up

Logline - A couple decides to part ways but their parents have a whole other plan for their
relationship.

Premise - What happens when a couple decides to part ways to only discover their respective single
parents are set to get married?

Controlling idea - In a world where anything is possible, a couple that represents a modern India face
a true test of their progressiveness when they learn about their parents being in a relationship.
However, instead of dismissing it they use this information to rekindle their romance which abruptly
came to an end due to lack of sexual chemistry.

Synopsis - Shubham walks into a cafe and abruptly makes his way to an empty table. As he takes his
seat and begins looking at the menu his eyes fall on an extremely attractive Ria. He can’t seem to get
over how attractive she looks but is pretending to hide his face in the menu. There is a rush of
emotions that he is facing as he can’t stop himself from looking at her but is quick to notice an
extremely well built guy sitting with her. This doesn’t stop him from following her to the washroom
where he holds her hand and tells her how attractive she is and that he was mesmerized by her.

In response she tells him that him not caring about being beaten up was quite romantic and they
begin to make out. This is when Shubham abruptly stops and exclaims that he can’t do this anymore
which is when Ria gets irritated and leaves the washroom. She reaches out and slips a 500 rupee
note to the well built pretend boyfriend who smirks and asks her to call him if need be. Shubham and
Ria are now sitting across each other aand there is silence, almost like a competition of who is going
to speak first. Which is when Ria tells him about how there was no chemistry left in their
relationship. Shubham doesn’t quite understand when an irritated Ria breaks it to him that nothing
or nobody to could save their sex life and that there was no point to the relationship.

Shubham in a very relaxed manner talks about the lengths they went and names the kind of
experimental sexual escapades they have taken. The both of them smile and very politely split the
bill and leave the place to only call their best friends about thor new life update. However, their calls
get interpreted when their respective parents tell them to be home soon as the both of them were
to meet a special someone. A few hours later to their absolute surprise Ria and Shubham find
themselves sitting across a dinner table where they are very compassionately informed about their
respective parents being in a relationship to which they have absolutely no words.

This is when Ria’s dad tells the both of them to get to know each other as they would soon be family
as the both of them awkwardly walk across Ria’s penthouse. They make their way to Ria’s balcony
where the both of them have nothing to say to each other than having a smoke. Shubham pulls out
one cigarette as that’s all he had left and as the both of them share the cigarette and in a moment
laugh about the situation they are in and passionately begin making out which is when Shubham
stops and goes down on his knees and asks her out, she is a little awkward and enquires about how it
could go back to what it was. He exclaims that at least they wouldn’t have to pretend to be step
siblings to compensate for their lack of sexual chemistry.
