From about 300-200 million years ago (late Paleozoic Era until the very late Triassic), the

continent
we now know as North America was contiguous with Africa, South America, and Europe. They all
existed as a single continent called Pangea

Almost all of the land was in the Southern hemisphere. About 150 million years ago, the Earth's crust
shifted and the Northern half of Pangaea broke away from the southern half and began to move into
the northern hemisphere. This large northern continent was called Laurasia
earth now

Describe in detail, the THREE factors that influenced the development

of the Australian flora and fauna to become what it was, unique

-Australia is an island and separated from the rest of the continents,

which leaves the flora and fauna to be isolated from the rest of the
species.

- Since austrlias is in the middle of the --- plate we rarely get any
earthquakes and volcanic eruption which means that the land is very
flat compared to the rest of the world, in fact Australia is the flattest
continent in the world with the tallest mountain being only under 3000
meters.

- Australia goes through very unpredictable and extreme weather

changes, harsh storms and high rainfalls (la nina) and extreme droughts
(el nino), one of these examples is bushfires, bushfires are common in
Australia due to heatwaves and droughts.
