Theoretical Framework

Objective : The present study aims to assess the intervention to improve employee behavior for job
efficiency among office workers. Although the benefits of regular physical activity (PA) are widely
accepted, most of the population fails to meet the recommended levels of activity. Public health bodies
such as the World Health Organisation emphasize promoting PA within workplaces as a key intervention
setting to reach the health and well-being of the working population. Given the importance of well-being
in workplace settings, it seems worthwhile to explore the evidence of effectiveness in the literature. This
systematic review aims to assess the effectiveness of PA interventions for improving employee behavior
for job efficiency well-being in working adults.

Problem: Not getting enough physical activity interventions affect the behaviour
which can lead to employee's lack of energy and ability to do everyday tasks.

Research Questions:
 How Physical Activity Interventions affect employee behavior for job
efficiency?
 What several benefit's to the employers in investing health of their
employees?
Sub- Question:
 What are the barriers between Physical Activity interventions to improve
employee behavior for job efficiency?

The Social Cognitive Theory within Physical Activity

A widely used theoretical model of behavior change favoured by researchers is the SCT [11]. This model
describes factors that may affect and determine behavior while also specifying mechanisms through
which these factors work and how they may be altered into effective health behaviors. The structure and
predictive utility of the SCT has been tested across numerous domains and populations and has emerged
as one of the most prominent frameworks adopted in the study of motivation and behavioral outcomes.
Consistently, research has shown self-efficacy as a key variable within the SCT and is said to be the most
powerful factor to consider when predicting behavior. Surprisingly, little research has involved the
application of the SCT in its entirety within the PA domain. Of the research that has, only self-efficacy
was found to have any predictive value on PA behaviour. Thus, the remainder of this section will discuss
the self-efficacy theory and consider its predictive utility and application within the PA domain.

Figure 1 shows the conceptual model of the study
The first frame presents the input of the study that includes profile of respondents such as gender, age,
job position, educational attainment, and the aspects of variables delivery aspects with respect to
improving employee behavior and Implementing physical activity intervention.

The second frame presents the process of the study that involves assessment of the Physical Activity
intervention which improving employee behavior through data-gathering with the use of survey,
statistical analysis.

The third frame presents the output of the study which includes the assessed Physical activity intervention
on improving employee behavior and the proposed action plan.

The arrows from the input to the process and to the output show the connection and transformation of the
profile and aspects with the actions taken into results that are
