In order to ensure MIMO performance, before doing any installation for SC-MIMO
PRO, please perform the following test to guarantee that the existing DAS is optimized:
1. PIM Test
PIM plays a vital role in LTE performance. If PIM is bad, throughput will be affected.
In order to get the maximum throughput expectation, DAS must pass the PIM
requirements. (Note: Suggested system-wide PIM value: -140dBc/ 97dBm. KPI for
PIM may vary depending on operator)
2. VSWR Test
Sweep test must be conducted in order to ensure that DAS have proper
connections.
3. Walk-test
Walk-test must be conducted before doing any installation to examine the existing
performance of the DAS. Important KPI to be considered: RSRP, PCI and SNR.
4. Speed Test
For existing SISO DAS, spot check under antenna must be conducted. This will serve
as the reference and basis for the MIMO performance.

The SC-MIMO PRO solution consist of two major components: the PRO-H (Head Unit)
and the PRO-S (Service Unit). Other essential component are the DC+IF Filter and Uneven
Splitters.
Features:
5G Ready
Main Stream: All bands – 698-980, 1710-2170, 2300-2700, 3400-3800
MIMO Stream: Three (3) MIMO bands (LTE/LTE/LTE, LTE/LTE/NR, LTE/NR/NR)
Supports multiple technologies: 2G, 3G, 4G & 5G/NR
Single coaxial allows 2 signals (Main and MIMO) and DC power
Compatible to any BTS vendor
Applicable to Single or multi-operators
Supports LTE-FDD, LTE-TDD and Carrier Aggregation (Inter/Intra CA)
Fail-safe – When PRO-H is down, site will revert back to SISO performance
Multiple monitoring approach
Reduction of sectors, BTS equipment

3. DC+IF Filter
DC+IF Filter is a coaxial component that prevent the flow of direct current (DC)
frequencies and filter out the intermediate frequency (IF), while offering minimum
interference to other RF signals.
These will be inserted in the branch of antenna in DAS wherein PRO-S will not be
installed (SISO area). This is to prevent any undesired DC and IF flow in the system and
ensure the proper operation of the solution. Please see Appendix C for the specification.
4. Uneven Splitter
Uneven splitters are to be used instead of directional couplers for the reason that
couplers are not capable of passing through the DC, which is the power source of the
PRO-S. Please see Appendix C for the specification.

V. On-Site Installation
PRO-H have Ingress protection rating IP64, designed to be protected against dust
and vertical spraying water at an angle up to 60º. It is recommended to be installed in a
well-ventilated environment. The PRO-H is designed to operate at the temperature range
and humidity as stated in the product specifications.
PRO-H requires a DC power source. A spare slot in the existing rectifier can be used
or a dedicated circuit breaker can be utilized.
A.1.4 Grounding
Verify that the equipment is well grounded. The equipment cabinet/rack shall be
earthed so that voltages that are induced into cabling (by lightning or other
disturbances) are directed to earth.

1. Drill four (4) holes on the wall using the position of the four holes on the mounting
bracket.
2. Fix the mounting bracket to the wall using four (4) anchor bolts (3/8”).
3. Fasten hex bolts to fix the PRO-H to the wall.
After fixing the PRO-H in the rack/wall, follow the below procedures to complete the
installation: (Note: Make sure that the PRO-H is OFF. Must not be turned ON.)
1. Install grounding cable for PRO-H. (Recommended cable: Fine Cable, Green, 5.5
mm)
2. Prepare the DC power of PRO-H (48Vdc/13A). Recommended DC Breaker rating
is 80Vdc/32A for each PRO-H.
3. Connect the DC cable (recommended cable size is AWG12) to the DC connector
provided. Please take note of the connector’s polarity, see below diagram for
reference:

Unused port
Insert power
cable in this
DC connector area
a. Insert the “+” (High voltage, 0V) power cable from the rectifier to the port
with “Red” dot of the DC connector.
b. Insert the “-” (Low voltage, -48V) power cable from the rectifier to the port
with “Blue” dot of the DC connector.
c. After inserting the power cable, turn the screw clockwise at ⓐ&ⓑ to secure
the power cable to the connector. Power connection is established, when
the power cable is fully tightened. Do not solder.
d. The recommended distance of PRO-H to Rectifier is <100m.
4. In case of multiple PRO-H installation, an external circuit breaker can be tapped
from a spare slot in the existing rectifier with a high ampere rating.
5. Jumper connections to/from PRO-H:
a. The Input (Main) port is connected from the Main stream combiner/RRU.
b. The Input (MIMO) port is connected from the MIMO stream combiner/RRU.
c. The Output (COM) port is connected to the DAS main branch.
6. Before turning ON the PRO-H, short test must be conducted first. Please see
Appendix A for the Short Test Procedure.

C. DC+IF Filter
DC+IF Filters are to be inserted in the branches where in PRO-S will not be installed.
Blocking of the DC is reversible, meaning, there is no input/output port. However, it is
highly recommended to be install at the component’s output port - N-male to be the
input port and N-female to be the output port.

D. Uneven Splitter
The following are the three (3) available types of uneven splitter:
When installing uneven splitters, it is very important to note which port is the high and low
loss port. The High loss port is labelled with the lower percentage value. The table below
shows the port loss arrangement for each type of uneven splitter:
