Application 7 This barring gear is used for cranking the cranksiafts of large low speed dieset engines 2. Principal technical parameters 2.1. Construction(see Fig. 1) This barring gear is composed of electric motor 1s speed reducer 2s clutch gear 8 and in~ terlocking mechanism 3. The electric motor 1 drives the speed reducer 2 directly, On the output shaft is mounted a movable gear 6. The engagement and disengagement of gear 6 with crankshaft gear 7 are performed by the clutch gear 8. The housings of the electric motor and the speed reducer are flange-connected. There are 6 waisted holes 11 on the speed re- ducer base 10 for fixing the barring gear. The interlocking: mechanism 3 is fixed at the up- ~ per part of the speed reducer. After tightening, recheck the flank clearance of the gears. Then connect it with power supply and air line according to the special instruction for the motor and Fig. 3 respectively.
