Classic Crate: Advanced Version

You’ll need 3 1x3’s:

2-1/2” wide

2” x 18”
96” long
3/4” thick
First, crosscut all the
red pieces to length.

Second, rip these 2


boards to 2” wide.

Next, resaw the


remainder into 1/4” thick
boards. (This will give
you 4 thin boards.)
2-1/2” x 13-1/4”

Then crosscut them into


14 pieces.

Overall dimensions

Edge-join 4 boards to create an end panel then cut it to its final dimensions
on the tablesaw. Make 2 of these.
Cut out a handle on each panel by drilling two 1” holes and cutting out the
center with a jigsaw.

Glue and screw the bottom slats into place.

Attach the side slats with glue and screws.
