English language is the best universal language

Owing to the size of the English speaking population and its

usage in our daily life, English language came to be known as a
universal language and it is the most widely used language in
the world. Is English language the best universal language?

Movies and songs in English has played on important role in

making English a universal language. For example, Hollywood
movies and American concerts have the largest audience in the
world. However, everyone must have heard an English song at
least once in their lives. This gives the English language
precedence over other languages when it comes to global;
acceptance.

Simplicity is bliss, there might be a difference of opinion on

this one but it is relatively easy to learn English in comparison
to other languages. One of the main reasons behind this is that
the English language has a simple grammar simple plurals, verb
conjugation.

Almost 50% of all remaining languages will become extinct in

the next few years because people are used to talk English and
forgetting their own language. Needless to say, this is worrying
because simply put an extinct language means the loss of a
unique culture. However, people who speak a global language
have greater opportunities for employment education and
overall success.

In conclusion, a global language has its advantages and

disadvantages. Its strong points include facilitating
communication between different cultures and paving the way
for greater international trade between countries. The question
remains: Will English continue as the world’s global language in
this century and beyond, or will another language take its
place?
