There is total two names for our research work – Ballroom and Contemporary

First will be discussing about the dance history, The earliest historical records showing the origins of
dance are cave paintings in India dating to about 8000 BCE.

Discussing about the ballroom, what it’s called so basically the Standard ballroom dances include the
waltz and the polka from the 19th century and the fox-trot, the two-step, and the tango, among others
and it’s from the 20th century.

ballroom dance is a type of social dancing, originally practiced in Europe and the United States, that is
performed by couples and follows prescribed steps.

The tradition was historically distinguished from folk or country dance by its association with the elite
social classes and with invitational dance events.

It’s a patner dance so, that’s the reason it’s famous amoung the world , Also because of its performance
and it’s entertainment aspects it’s really is famous.

About the contemporary dance it’s a patner dance same as ballroom but different and aspects … and
about how it’s also performed the genre of this dance performance which is developed during the mid-
twentieth century.

The history where this dance performance has since grown to become one of the dominant genres for
formally trained dancers throughout the world, with particularly strong popularity in U.S.A and Europe
to but not in India or any north Asia.

There are different steps in the dance, and it can be performed with or without patner but however
many choose to perform alongside others and become a resident member of a dance act partnership or
group.
let’s move in to how the steps are and what to do in the dance, so a Contemporary dance blends
elements of multiple dance styles and it also let the dancer’s express emotionality through movements
and with breath.

How it’s related to the dance and heath?

And now I will be talking about how it’s related to the dance and health, that the Ballroom dance can
decrease blood pressure and cholesterol, improve cardiovascular health, strengthen weight-bearing
bones, help prevent, or slow bone loss related to osteoporosis, lower the risks of obesity and Type 2
Diabetes, and promote increased lung capacity.

Preventing the people feeling easily. Improved Flexibility. The movements associated with dance can
increase flexibility and reduce stiffness. We also have scientifically proven that this dance form reduce
depression.

The stress and many other mental health and as well as physical heath too.

Dancing can also be the way to stay fit for people of all ages, shapes, and sizes. It has a wide range of
physical and mental benefits including improved condition of your heart and lungs. increased muscular
strength, endurance, and motor fitness.

What skills can you develop in ballroom dance?

We can develop the flexibility skills as well as confidence also you will be developing Perseverance. Like
many activities. It can improve your technical skills, to be able to express the music fully with our bodies.
Once the music comes on for the social dance.
