PRESENTATION:

Good evening teacher, this time we will present the bibliography of a famous
Peruvian from the past named Abraham Valdelomar.

BIBLIOGRAPHY

Abraham Valdelomar Pinto, also mentioned as the Count of Lemos, was a Peruvian
narrator, poet, journalist, cartoonist, essayist and playwright. Son of Amfiloquio
Valdelomar Fajardo and Carolina Pinto.

He was born in Ica, Peru, on April 27, 1888 and died on November 3, 1919 in
Ayacucho at the age of 31.

He embodied the definitive transition from modernism to the avant-garde and is


considered, along with the poets José María Eguren and César Vallejo, one of the
forgers of contemporary Peruvian literature.

His notable works were:

-The Knight Carmelo and The Flight of the Condors

One of the important events he did was to found the literary magazine Colónida in
1916.

He ventured into politics at the Regional Congress of the Center in 1919.
