Conflicts with teachers of parents:

To the Editor:

Young people with immature minds are prone to conflicts with adults around them, such as
their teachers and parents. I am writing to express my ideas on this issue, hoping this could
be helpful for youngsters’ healthy development.

To begin with, it should be noted that such conflicts can be harmful for youngsters’ mental
and even physical health. Therefore, their quarrels or fights with teachers and parents
should be carefully handled, so that they won’t feel unwanted and keep their hearts closed.

One recommendable approach is for teachers and parents to frequently express their care
for teenagers. When absorbed in love and concern, teenagers are less aggressive and
sensitive, and thus less likely to clash with others. Another method is to convince youngsters
that their teachers and parents deserve their respect. Consequently, their hostility towards
these loving adults would drop, and so would conflicts.

In conclusion, both teenagers and caring adults should endeavour to achieve mutual
understanding and reduce disturbing conflicts between them.

Yours truly,
Aijia
