COLD FOOD AFFECTING METABOLISM

Many people eat meals that are helpful for their metabolism in order to stay healthy.
Who would have wanted a slow metabolism? I know and believe that our digestive systems
are sensitive to the temperature of the foods and fluids we ingest. Cold foods and beverages
might cause your digestive system to work overtime to break down and absorb the food.
That's why I became self-conscious about what was going on with my stomach, especially
when eating cold meals. The task of preparing and serving cold foods is referred to as
"grade manager." Salads, seasonal fruits, sweets, cheese, cold soups, aspics, and
charcuterie are common examples.

I suppose my metabolism is adequate if I am skinny. To be honest, I prefer eating

sweets over the main course. The fact that cold foods may be sweet surprised me the most.
When I was in the Philippines, I often prepared cold dishes, particularly fruit salads, as my
dessert after I finished the main course. One of the reasons I prefer cold meals for dessert is
that they are simple to prepare and can be easily replenished. There is no need to make a
lot of preparation as long as you have the ingredients. Cutting and chopping vegetables,
slicing meat, creating spreads like mayonnaise, assembling salads, constructing
sandwiches, and other cold foods are examples.

As summer approaches, I'd like to share some cold food from the Philippines, which
is a summertime favorite among Filipinos. Every other corner of the street in the
neighborhood is likely to have its own halo-halo stand. You'll most likely see macapuno
(preserved shredded young coconut), kaong (palm nuts), nata de coco (coconut gel), freshly
grated cantaloupe, evaporated milk, vanilla ice cream (you may alternatively use mango),
and, of course, crushed or shaved ice. To make the halo-halo, layer the first 5 ingredients in
a tall glass. Second, fill the glass halfway with ice. Pour evaporated milk over the ice. Finally,
add a scoop of ice cream on top. By combining all of the ingredients in the glass, you can
consume and enjoy the halo-halo.

Both warm and cold food have nutritional benefits. However, they may differ.
Although it is recommended that we eat warm foods rather than cold foods, I have no reason
to think that. There are various techniques to promote digestion, including eating slowly and
thoroughly chewing all of your food. Eating cold foods may require more work for the body to
assimilate, but our stomach will perform efficiently whether it is warm or cold food. So,
there's nothing much to worry about when it comes to digestion; just don't eat too much.
Remember that focusing too much on one thing will not benefit you.
