Examination Misconduct
(Excerpt from Item 28, UTM Graduate Studies Rules and Regulations)
a) Giving, receiving or possessing notes or some other materials in various forms relevant to
the course during the examination inside and outside of exam hall
OR
b) Using the information stated above for the purpose of answering exam questions
OR
c) Cheating or attempting to cheat or behaving inappropriately during examination
OR
d) Other misconduct set by the University.
2) If the student is found guilty of misconduct by the Faculty Academic Committee and pending
the approval of the Senate, the student can be penalized as follow:

SECTION A: 100 MARKS

I. Company background (organizational chart, etc.). (1 page)
II. Industry and competitive position. (2 page)
III. Perform various financial analysis (2 page summary for these financial
indicators)
a) ROE
b) ROA
c) PE ratio
d) Liquidity ratio
e) Activity ratio
f) Profitability ratio
g) Debt ratio
h) Market ratio
From the Cash Flow Statement, please answer the following questions:
a) How much did the firm generate from its operations?
b) How much did the firm invest in plant and equipment?
c) Did the firm raise additional funds, and if so, how much and from what
source?
d) Is the firm able to generate positive cash flows? (Note: This section should be
presented to show your understanding of the financial ratios from the previous
accounting class).

VIII. References (APA Style, please refer to the online UTM Manual Thesis). Times
New Roman, 12 font, single spacing).
Requirements:
Report must be type written with Times New Roman font size 12 and 1 spacing. Student
is advised to highlight main points, begin with topic sentence to supporting sentences.
For references use Author (Year) format. Put in suitable headings, table of content,
Figures and Table numbered from 1 onwards. Report must be of current academic
standards (also refer to journal papers/conference proceedings). The number of pages of
text must be between 20 and 30 only, excluding appendices and references. Please do not
plagiarize, if found automatically zero marks will be awarded.
