 Introduction

People familiar with the talks between Apple

and Hyundai-Kia said that the electric vehicle is
tentatively scheduled to go into production in
2024 at a Kia plant in Georgia, though they said
the eventual rollout could be pushed back.
They said no agreement has yet been reached
between the two companies. In addition, they
stressed that Apple may ultimately decide to
partner with another automaker separately or in
addition to working with Hyundai-Kia
 Apple CarPlay

Apple is already in millions of

vehicles through partnerships with
automakers for its Apple CarPlay,
which is software that essentially
mirrors much of an iPhone’s display
onto a vehicle’s infotainment
screen.

An autonomous car is one that has

the necessary computer systems
to mimic human driving
capabilities through sensors, GPS,
laser systems, cameras, facilitating
route planning and obstacle
avoidance.

⬟ Level 1: The vehicle is equipped with autonomous emergency braking, cruise
control or stability control or GPS.
⬟ Level 2: The vehicle must be capable of driving itself with the aid of cruise
control and lane keeping
⬟ Level 3: The vehicle need a driver as an assistant, who can be consulted on
specific occasions.
⬟ Level 4: The human just start the car.

Apple and Hyundai-kia teamed up

to make an autonomous vehicle,
hiring Manfred Harrer to take
Hyundai's E-GMP technology to
another level. Expectations are high
for this new model of autonomous
car that will begin the production in
2024.
