In a conversation between Mead and Baldwin, Mead thinks people have to stop
taking pride in their ancestors, as they had nothing to do. She states that no
one has the right to take pride in their ancestors. On the other hand, Baldwin
says that in doing so, it reveals the depths of one's dreams, as people live by
their dreams.
Zeroing in on Heroes: A Prototype Analysis of Hero Features
Kinsella, Elaine L., Timothy D. Ritchie, and Eric R. Igou. "Zeroing in on heroes: a
prototype analysis of hero features." Journal of personality and social
psychology 108.1 (2015): 114.
In popular discourse and literature, heroes are omnipresent, despite little
concerning their cognitive representations. Using a prototype approach, lay
conceptions of heroes are examined and compared with other in uential
people. Also, it studies how people use hero features to identify heroes. As a
result, these studies bring forth new ideas to existing knowledge concerning
and leaving the ordinary world. This book intends to empower the storytellers
to use the seminal work of Campbell.
