Soccer

Youth Soccer League ages 6-18: This 6-game season is


all game! Play 5 v 5 plus keepers. A coach or team
manager may register their team (see registration require-
ments below) with a minimum of 9 players and a
maximum of 12 players, provided at least one person on
the team is a YMCA facility or program member. Each
division needs at least four teams so be sure to register
early. All games are played at Northeast Cobb Y’s Arena.

Season:
December 4 – January 25 (make-up days on Jan. 30 & 31 and Feb. 1)
Two practice weekends: Nov. 28 – 30 & Jan. 2 – 4

Boys & Girls Divisions:


U8; U10; U12; U12 Academy; U14; U14 Select; U16; U19

Games tentatively scheduled:


Soccer Training ages 3-12: A coed, 6-
Thursdays, 5:00 – 9:00 pm • Fridays, 5:00 – 10:00 pm week soccer introduction. Participants will
Saturdays, 8:00 am – 9:00 pm • Sundays, 1:00 – 8:00 pm learn age-appropriate technical skills and
progress to playing small-sided games.
Fee: Held in the arena.
$500/team Ages 3-7: Wednesdays, 4:00 – 5:00 pm
Ages 8-12: Fridays, 4:15 – 5:15 pm
Registration:
Session 1: Aug. 20 – Sept. 26
Begins Aug. 7 for Y members • Aug. 21 for returning
Session 2: Oct. 1 – Nov. 7 Members Save
community teams (from 07-08) • Sept. 25 for all others (no class on 10/31; makeup on Nov. 14) $70
Ends Nov. 6 (or when full) MEM: $70 PRO: $140
Registration Requirements:
Registration form must be completed and signed by Multi-Sports
every player (must have at least 9 players to register). At
least one member of each team must be a YMCA facility
or program member. Each player must have proof of Northeast Cobb YMCA School Sports
GYSA membership. Provide one of the following: Program Tritt, Murdock, Shallowford Falls &
Mt. Bethel Elementary school students: You
• copy of current 2008-09 players card can participate in flag football, lacrosse,
• GYSA 2008-09 team roster T-ball & volleyball right at your own school.
• GYSA registration form completed & signed with $15 Register at your school’s Meet & Greet
(check with the schools for those dates &
check attached & made out to NE Cobb YMCA times). There will be an end of the season
(if not a member). tournament where schools will compete in
each sport for the title. Make plans to “Go
CANNOT ACCEPT REGISTRATION UNTIL ALL for the Gold” for your school!
