In England father Christmas brings presents to children.

He rides a sleigh across the sky led by

reindeer and gives presents to special socks called stockings which children pin up on Christmas Eve.

Christmas trees are decorated with baubles and tinsel. Typical Christmas plants are mistletoe, holly
and ivy.

Christmas dinner is eaten at lunchtime on Christmas Day. the traditional meal is Turkey with stuffing,
roast potatoes, brussels sprouts and the gravy. The typical dessert is Christmas pudding prepared
weeks before Christmas and Even though it doesn't look very tasty, it can be really good especially if
it's homemade.

You can find cardboard tubes called crackers on the table where are you eat your Christmas dinner.
You should link arms with the person next to you and pull one end of the tube so it will explode. You
should find a funny hat to wear and a piece of paper with a silly joke written on it which you have to
tell to others. After the Christmas dinner you can play charades which is a game where you have to
mime the title of the film book or play and the others have to guess it. In my opinion these two
activities could be such fun and it's a pity that we don't do anything like that in the Czech Republic.
