‘The second phase of the Eastern Dedicated Freight Corridor consists of 388.143
Route km of dosbleline electrified track with 2x25 kV AC, 50 Hz. overhead catenary
system capable of operating at 2 maximum train speed of 100km/h from
‘Mughalsraitofanpur. The alignment inthis sections mostly paalelt the existing
Indian Railway Tracks except in congested area, where detour are provided.
Introduction
Formation and sridge structures are planned for 32.5 tone sale load and the track
structure for 25 tone axle lad.
For execution of track work we wil establish two main Depots one zt Pahara for 201
package & other at Ramva for 202 package. These depots will be equipped with
Sleeper & Rail leading gantry.

Rama in special rakes of JSPL Loading & Unloading of 260 m Ral panels shall be by

62 Concrete Sleepers
Pre stressed concrete sleepers approved by Engincer shall only be installed in track

approved drawing. To meet the total requirement of project two sleeper
manufacturing plant shall be installed, one at each depot. Part supply shal also be

10_ AUTOMATED TRACKLAYING
10.1 Prerequisite for Track caving
Prior to the commencement of automated Track laying, an approved RFI from PMC
will be ensured that the inital lying of Ballast is complete and accepted 2s per

span the storage area plus the loading track. Fixed gantres willbe stalled for rai
panel loading and 2 gantries for sleeper loading.
Prior to day oftracklaying production, Works Tain wil be loaded at the Construction
depot

type wagons of works train using a series of synchronized overhead gantries. Rail
viopers will be provided on works train to avoid shifting of rails during transit,

will arrange coupling of works train with Track Layer.

Sleepers are transferred to Track Layer from Works Train by two mobile gantres

alignment, which is achleved by hydraulialy controling the non-powered crawler

4010 Discarnect works Train
(On completion of day's wor, Track Layer i disconnected from works tran and empty
works train goes back to track depot for reloading of track materials for next day
working. Track team safety Supervisor shall ensure that all personnel ae clear of the
Track Layer and Works Tran, before detaching works train from Track Layer. Any
‘emaining rails onthe Works Train shall be securely fastened, prior tothe Works Train,
departure.
Prior to disconnecting Works Train from the Track Layer, Track laying Supervisor or
‘rack Layer Foreman shall record the number of rails and sleepers left on the train
Including sleepers lft onthe Track Layer conveyors.
