Respected & Dear Dr Elia Ntaousani,

Thank you for your email and for the opportunity to provide additional information regarding my
interest in attending the 2023 London Critical Theory Summer School. Specifically, I would like
to address how the work of Professor Costas Douzinas aligns with my own academic interests
and why attending the summer school would benefit my intellectual development.

As a student of law and philosophy, I have been particularly drawn to Professor Douzinas'
research and publications on critical legal theory, human rights, and the relationship between law
and politics. His contributions to the field of critical legal theory have been instrumental in
shaping my own understanding of the law's role in society and its potential for promoting justice
and equality.

Furthermore, Professor Douzinas' commitment to political activism and social justice has been
an inspiration to me, particularly his involvement in the student resistance during the Colonels'
dictatorship in Greece. I believe that his approach to legal theory as a tool for social change is
particularly relevant in today's world, where issues of inequality and social justice are becoming
increasingly prominent.

Attending the 2023 London Critical Theory Summer School would provide me with a unique
opportunity to engage with Professor Douzinas and other leading scholars in the field of critical
legal theory. I believe that this experience would enable me to deepen my understanding of
critical legal theory and its potential for promoting social change. Moreover, I am confident that
the summer school would allow me to develop my own critical thinking and analytical skills,
which I believe will be invaluable as I pursue my academic and professional goals.

Thank you for considering my application, and I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Best regards,
IMTIAZ ALI
Student of Law
