Spotify Announces New Brand Spokesperson


Jordan Jordensen, a Louisiana native, has been appointed as the new spokesperson for
Spotify’s U.S. headquarters in New York, NY.

NEW YORK, NEW YORK– Jordan Jordensen, a long-time employee of the multi-billion
dollar streaming service company, has been personally promoted to be the U.S. spokesperson for
the brand by Spotify CEO Daniel Ek. Jordensen has dedicated 10 years to the company, which he
started working for in 2012 as a communications intern.
“I am more than confident in Jordan’s capabilities to lead and speak for Spotify’s U.S.
branch,” said Ek. “I have never seen more drive in an employee in all 16 my years of owning
Spotify. Spotify is a relatively young company that has grown rapidly with the digital world
throughout the last decade, and it is so vital for the brand to have a spokesperson that can adapt
and evolve just as quickly. He is exactly what we need to stay on the cutting-edge of the music
streaming world, while also ensuring our longevity as a brand.”
Jordansen, a first-generation college student, began his employment at an entry-level
position at Spotify with a bachelor’s degree in Public Relations. While working for the company,
a young Jordensen continued working towards and eventually received a PhD in Public Relations
from Louisiana State University.
Some of Spotify’s most successful public relations campaigns have been conceptualized
and developed by Jordensen in the past decade. For his contributions, Jordansen has received
multiple awards from the Public Relations Society of America–including the Silver Anvil Award,
one of the highest honors a public relations professional can achieve.
According to Jordensen his success within the company, however, has not depended
solely on the degrees and many qualifications he has received, but rather his determination to
better both himself and the company throughout the years.
“I just would like to express my gratitude to Spotify for this opportunity,” said Jordensen,
“And I really would like young, aspiring professionals to know that it truly is possible to come
from nothing and make yourself into something.”
