Section 1: Arrangement and Function

1.1 Purpose and Technical Characteristics

The LINTEC CF04 Cold Feeder described in this documentation is part of the LINTEC Asphalt Mixing Plant.
It is used for pre-dosing the minerals and transporting them to the throw belt. The throw belt forwards the
minerals to the double-screen drum.

The total plant has been designed especially for such cases where locations change frequently. By setting
up the concrete mixing plant with modules in the form of common 40 ft or 20 ft ISO sea containers (high
cube) a high degree of convenience for transport has been achieved and also the cold feeder can easily be
integrated into the overall plant.

The LINTEC CF04 has been designed with some more favourable characteristics:
 Low transport costs: Each plant component is supplied in a 100% ISO sea container, which has been inspected
and certified by Germanischer Lloyd. Containerisation means: no low loaders, no excess width, no excess weight,
lowest container freight rates and fast transport.
 Short erection and dismantling time: The crane is only required for a short period and the plant ready to operate
after one week and can be dismantled within a few days. Therefore the plant may be considered mobile.
 No concrete foundations: The ground area of the containers ensure stability on compacted soil.
 Long life because of the use of high-quality materials
 Fully-auctomatic operation through a modern computer control system which can easily be operated from the
control cabine
 Stable, compact and maintenance-friendly design
