Outline

My family has been given $5000 from a relative’s will. After discussing, we all decided to
spend the money on something that the whole family can enjoy, which is a television. The
following are the steps I have taken after studying commerce this year in order to pick a
television best suited for my family.

Part 3: Final Report

1. Samsung 65’’ The Frame QLED 4K Smart tv

This TV is is a much more advanced and one of the latest versions for its
product brand, Samsung. Overall it is high quality and has all the features
you can ask for. There are many advantages for the tv as documented in part
1 but based on its disadvantages my verdict would be that it is not as suitable
as I thought it would be for family use, more for a single person. Online
reviews that specialise in device ratings like Techradar suggest that this TV
is overpriced for its quality, its normal price range being between $1975-
$3029 (based on chosen retailers). Although it is said to be overpriced, it has
plenty of reviews from other websites in term of its sound and visual quality.
2. LG 65’’ C2 Self Lit OLED EVO 4K UHD Smart TV

This TV is also a latest version for its brand, LG. Overall it has very
advanced yet simple features such as an easy to use remote and AI sound
performances. It has many excellent reviews based on its quality, tested by
device product websites such as The Verge. Its video and audio performance
is exceptional as well as its technology operating it like its interface. It is
said to be one of the ‘Best High-end TV for you money’ by Cnet, although it
its cost is $3195-$4095 (based on chosen retailers). The product reviews and
information combined, suggests that it is an exceptionally performing TV for
its high cost, giving value to it.

3. Sony 55’’ A80J Bravia XR OLED 4K Google TV

This TV is the world’s first cognitive intelligence TV, meaning it

incorporates humans mental ability. Overall it is also an excellent
performing tv in terms of its improved audio and visual technology by its
brand Sony, but is said to be overpriced for its quality. This means that the
TV’s performance degrades slowly maybe in terms because of its very new
and advanced technology that is being used. Its price range is between
$1495-$1895 (based on chosen retailers). Although it might be an excellent
performing TV at first it may not be suitable for long term family use.

Final Product chosen: LG 65’’ C2 Self Lit OLED EVO 4K UHD Smart TV
Store chosen: JB HI-FI

I have chosen to buy the LG 65’’ C2 Self Lit OLED EVO 4K UHD Smart TV
from JB-HI FI for $3514.50, meaning I have decided to include the JB HI-FI
repair cover. Firstly, I chose to buy this specific tv because after researching its
advantages, disadvantages, reading reviews and general product information, I
think it’s best suited to meet the needs of my family. The picture and audio
quality of the TV has proved to be excellent based on many review websites for
its cost. It includes all features that smart TVs use and has the feature of
different profiles which will definitely improve the tv experience for my family
members. Even though it is more expensive than the other TV choices I have
researched it is assured that it has exceptional quality and value for its
money. Using what I have learnt in the past weeks in Commerce,
consumers should look for the most cost effective option when deciding to
buy a specific product, getting value for their money. Using this knowledge
I think as well as the TV meeting its quality standards and necessities for
my family, the price will be worth it as I am looking for TV to buy for long
term use for my family that will continue performing well throughout the
years. I have also decided to choose JB HI-FI as the store to buy from
because of its Extra Repair Cover available which I think is very useful to
include when buying expensive one-time products like a television. I want
to get the most value out of the money I have been given of $5000 and even
after making the most of the money, I will have quite a bit left over. Hence
using the $5000, I will buy the LG 65’’ C2 Self Lit OLED EVO 4K UHD
Smart TV including a repair plan from JB HI-FI.
