Same-sex Marriage
Marriage is the union of two people who genuinely care about one another and desire to live their
lives together. I don’t think our society or the government should redefine what marriage really means
since it isn’t the union of two men or two women. The reasons listed below are a few of the reasons I
oppose same-sex marriage. Homosexual marriages are wrong, in my opinion, because they contradict
what God has said. Nobody can alter the truth contained in God’s word.
Churches are going to be at risk of allowing same-sex marriage because doing so would mean
that the pastors would be going against God’s word as well. It is wrong to compel same-sex marriage on
those who do not believe in it since homosexuality is a sin. Because God created Adam and Eve, not Eve
and Eve or Adam and Adam, it is also an unnatural act. Even younger children may be confused by same-
sex marriage. Connecting it to the force of magnetism we are going to represent the male and female to
the magnet, the negative side as the male and the positive side as the female. When you put together the
positive and positive or the negative and negative the magnet will not attract the magnet’s repels because
they are of the same charge. But when you put together the negative and the positive both sides attract
because of the opposite charges that prove the saying “Opposites do attract”.
That proves that same-sex marriage will never be normalized even in today’s generation.
Legalizing same-sex marriage has caused many problems today. According to the article that I have read,
the U.S. Constitution is making some people go against their religious beliefs because of this law. I
personally do not think people should have to go against their religion to support something God would
not be pleased with. We have enough things going on in this horrible world and irrelevant things like this
should not be added to society’s problems.
