Gender inequality refers to sex or gender discrimination that regularly favors or prioritizes one sex
or gender over the other. As the world more become open to different gender role that a person
can become it is also the cause of increasing issue about gender discrimination. As we
communicate in our society we can observed different people that classifies themselves in
different gender role. Furthermore, as we observed the behavior of person we met, see, or
communicate we can also tell or observed nor judge them on what we think their gender is, not
only we see them as a man and women but also we judge based on their behavior that there are
not only as man or woman but also as a bi, gay, lesbian, and etc.

As I observed in our society, gender discrimination, disrespectful, and bias treatment are the
forms of gender inequality. And the most common or rampant form of gender inequality is the bias
treatment, we can observed not only in our own community but also in every type of social media
or online platforms we use that bias or unfair treatment is very popular. In a way that, for example
the most common is the unfair treatment to girls and even gays, when we have doing something
that are needed not only physical strength but also proper movements that we think only men can
do, we deny the girls because we have this feeling and thinking in mind that these kind of activity
or work are not suited for them because they can’t do that.

Being aware of gender diversity and the various gender issues are beneficial to us and to our
country because, the goal of creating gender awareness is to increase public sensitivity,
understanding, and knowledge concerning gender inequality. The process of raising awareness
promotes communication, enhances understanding amongst people, and helps people acquire
the knowledge and abilities needed to bring change and new perspective in gender on our society.
In all of our social interactions, gender is present. When people interact, how they see themselves
including who they are, what they have the right to, and what they can do is compared to how
others see them and treat them. But, because the way most people see gender tends to be so
profoundly internalized, it frequently seems as though gender in its fundamental sense is absent
from our social interactions. So, being aware in gender is very important because, we need to
better understand the things that view on how we coexist.

Gender equality is sustainable because it is one of the way or solution to address and avoid nor
maintain gender inequality. And it also promote prosperity and peace to different gender roles as
its main purpose is to put an end to all kinds of gender discrimination and put equality between
different gender roles in our society.
