NAME — Akanksha Maji

CLASS— 12
SECTION— C
ROLL NO — 2
SCHOOL— The Heritage School
INTRODUCTION

An autobiography is a self written account of

the life or feeling of oneself.
Our topic for the project is to write an essay on
the following topic :-

“You are about to leave school. The school

has seen you grow in its classrooms and
corridors, on sports field and many other places.
Just as you have many memories of the school, it
too has memories of you. Imagine that you have
left school and the school is reminiscing about
you. Write an autobiographical essay with the
school as the narrator and you as the subject.”

Following is my account on the above topic.

Hope you enjoy it!

OUR BEST TIMES
TOGETHER

Hi! My name is Joseph School. I am located in

Mumbai, India. I am 22 years old and have
been living in this greenery surrounded structure
for most of my life.
I was conceived in the minds of some beautiful
people who wanted to build a safe place for
children to lear n and make educated
individuals.
Many girls and boys have come and gone but I
remember this shy girl named Akanksha . She
joined this school when she was 3 years old. She
used to come to school everyday with her
parents and was loved by all her teachers.

Akanksha spent her whole childhood in this

school. She grew up from a small innocent girl
to a big mature one. She made some very good
friends in this school. She used to often forget to
do her homework and get scolding from her
teachers. She was a quiet and soft spoken child
to everyone but she was a fun person with
people she was comfortable with.
When she was small, she used to cry everyday
before coming to school and used to be absent
very often.
When she graduated from kindergarten to class
1, she was put in a different section from her
best friend Nimrat.
The whole school knew Akanksha and Nimrat
were best friends and after being separated from
each other, both of them cried so much even the
teachers couldn’t stop them but they eventually
got used to it. Ah! such golden memories….I
wonder when she grew up so much.

As time passed by, she grew up to be this

happy and cheery girl who was very much fond
of everything she did. She used to do all sorts of
creative activities like drawing, dancing, singing
and so much more. She used to participate in
inter-house dance competitions , colouring
contests and school concerts. She was a young
girl filled with passion and positivity and she did
her work happily.

She became a bit serious about her studies

from class 6 as she wanted to become an
amazing doctor like her father. She dreamt of
being the best and took inspiration from all the
people around her. She loved biology, it was her
favourite subject . But along with her studies she
always continued her extra-curricular activities.
Even though not popular among the students,
she was quite well known by all the staff and her
teachers who watched her growing up from the
moment she didn’t even know how to speak
properly. They knew her for her soft well
mannered behaviour .

As time passed by she appeared for her

class 10th and 12th board exams in which she
did pretty well. Class 10 was her best batch and
she had a gala time with her batchmates. She
went on school excursion trips after persuading
her parents for a long time and enjoyed every bit
of it. She was a lovely girl and was never
involved in any sort of misbehaviour .
I watched that girl through her ups and downs
and how well she handled every situation. She
had many friends because of her friendly nature
and her ability to understand people.

She grew up to be this confident and mature

girl who wanted to excel in life. She was
balanced and simple. Though she is a pass out
now, I miss her every single day..

Once she entered and came to me crying and

she left me with tears in her eyes which is very
natural after you spend 15 years of your life
somewhere but I had to let her go. After all she
was about to enter the real life now. Until now
she was under my comfortable blanket with her
teachers who always protected her but it was
time for her to grow and enter the real arena,
the path which will lead her to her dreams. I will
miss her but I also have to let her go……
