With the help of both the James Irvine Foundation and the William & Flora Hewlett Foundation, we embarked upon this
much needed project under the guidance of Sutherland & Edwards, a Bay Area consulting firm specializing in foundation
development. Many hours of diligent work by consultants, board members, and the staff resulted in a solid road map that
we are all very proud of and confident will guide us well into the next decade.

OUR MISSION
To improve the quality of life in our community through
philanthropy.
Established in 1966, Fresno Regional Foundation is a nonprofit
community foundation serving California’s Central San Joaquin
foundation
Valley. We work to improve lives in our community by encouraging
philanthropy. We provide unique opportunities for individual
donors, families, businesses, and other foundations to invest in
programs that address a wide spectrum of economic, social,
educational, cultural and environmental needs. With over 150 donor
advised funds, field of interest funds, designated funds, schol-
arship funds, and Funds for the Common Good, the Foundation
is the trusted steward of charitable giving in the region.

Mrs. Evelyn Ducoff opened an endowed Donor Advised Fund with the intention of recommending grants to the Chawanakee
Unified School District in Madera County to support art and education programs. After her husband, George Ducoff, passed
away, Mrs. Ducoff wanted to leave a permanent legacy in both their names that benefited the community they deeply love.
Working with her accountant, she found that making a gift to the
Fresno Regional Foundation now would not only give her maximum
tax savings, but also allow her to enjoy being actively involved in
