Instructions: You learned that necessity is the mother of inventions and innovations. Inventions are not
simply made, but are motivated by various social, political, cultural and economic contexts. In this task,
you will address this question: “If you were an inventor, what would you invent? In thinking about an
invention, make sure that you come up with one that has not been invented yet but is possible to be
invented in the near future. Sketch a draft in a bond paper of your invention then take a picture of your
work and paste it in the box below. Answer the following questions with regards to your invention.

1. What is your invention? What does it do?

A magic pen that can save lives and can be used in an emergency. A pen that has various
different colors which signifies different usage. It has a GPS installed and a micro camera. This
invention mask as a pen but has a broad meaning of its usage.
 Yellow - this can detect early signs and symptoms of illnesses and can produce an accurate
diagnosis. It will also monitor your daily health

 Brown - it will serve as a recorder and a language translator that can possibly eradicate language
barrier.

 Violet - it can be used to draw anything that is on your mind and can also serve as a projector that
can better display what you want to draw or visualize in 3D.

 Blue - it can detect that there is something wrong in the food you eat, whether it has poison or
none.

 Black - this can be used if you are terminally ill and you want to know how many hours or days you
have left in the world.

 Red - It will automatically vibrate and creates a disturbing sound which signifies a warning sign that
you are in possible danger and you can click this when you are in danger, it will automatically send
your location to an authority to ask for help and to your family, and after 5 seconds the pen will
transform into an electrocution device that can be used as a form of self-defense.

At the tip of the pen is a micro camera that can photograph anything even in the dark, it can also scan a
person with its intentions; whether its good or bad. This has a great specs that can serve as a
microscope or a telescope, when needed.

At the head most of the pen, if you will press it, it will explode in 60 seconds in the air in a form of a
firework display that has two (2) indications, first, it will indicate that you are in great danger; second,
this will indicate that you are now disposing the pen.

2. How is your invention similar to or different from existing tools or technologies in terms of
function?
My invention is the first of its kind, thus it will be different from any common type of pen, but in
practice, it is used very differently from a conventional pen for writing.
3. Why is there a need for this invention?
There is a need for this invention as with its many applications, this can be a good product that
can significantly reduce our health issues and anxiety in any potential hazards that we may face.
It can assist everyone who will be in danger or in an emergency.
4. What were the social, political, cultural, or economic impacts of your chosen invention?
Modern technology permeates every aspect of our existence. In fact, they are now so ingrained
in our daily lives that we use them frequently without giving them any attention. Despite the
fact that it might not be obvious, understood, or even taken into account, this invention will
have a significant impact on our lives. This projected invention's social, political, economic, and
cultural ramifications will be examined to ascertain both the positive and negative outcomes.
The ability to connect people with one another socially, regardless of their location or language
proficiency, will revolutionize communication. Politically, it will make it easier for people to
obtain knowledge and information, which will allow them to post information that might be
inaccurate and untrustworthy but that might be taken seriously and change public opinion. This
proposed invention would create a culture that can be used to carry out tasks and connect with
or communicate with others on a cultural level. Lastly, it will undoubtedly result in economic
growth.
