    Release management and maintenance for an information system involves the


    following:

    ▪ User Orientation and Training


    ▪ Implementation
    ▪ Actual utilization while using live corporate data
    ▪ Gathering feedbacks.

    Although some hardware upgrades and software releases (will require system
    downtime) and this too needs to be carefully orchestrated. The system maintenance
    should be given a greater emphasis to keep track with the dynamic business
    competitions.

    A scheduled backup and recovery process is a must be regularly practiced and the
    main user stakeholders should be consulted throughout the process.
