Unit 1 Worksheets

1.Nurtures student curiosity

Children are naturally curious. Science instructors should base their lessons
on current, real-world events to pique students' attention and curiosity. Instead
of having those lessons given to them by an instructor, this method
encourages students to take a more active role in deducing how natural
phenomena function.

2.Encourages scientific thinking

Students are involved in understanding natural events and the scientific
concepts that underpin them when science teachers are effective. In other
words, they actively encourage kids to wonder about and understand the
scientific phenomena that surround them. They urge students to examine and
improve their explanations using scientific data and assist them in developing
exploratory questions and hypotheses to explain such phenomena.

3.Develops scientific literacy

Lesson plans that adhere to current standards aim to produce scientifically
literate young people who can recognize, assess, and comprehend the
scientific justifications for local and global challenges. In addition, they
incorporate socioscientific topics into their lessons. Socioscientific problems
are regional or worldwide events that have a scientific explanation and denote
social and political challenges.

Curriculum

1.The curriculum has educational quality

The curriculum must be made up of offerings that pass the test of good and
sound education. We speak quality education but there has to be quality
curriculum as well.

2.The curriculum has administrative flexibility

Flexibility is a good trait of good curriculum. A curriculum must be ready to
incorporate change whenever necessary.

3.The curriculum is democratically conceived.

The minds and energies of many people who are in intimate contact with the
interests, needs and resources of the community will create a more effective
product than the individual director could possibly provide by working alone.

4. The curriculum is continuously evolving

To be viable and effective, the curricular program must have continuous
evaluation and reappraisal. A program must adapt its educational activities

and services to meet the needs of a modern and dynamic community.

5. The curriculum is based on the needs of the people

It is imperative in developing a program to begin with those that concern the
people themselves. Their years of experience can be a good source that can
be woven into the fabric of the classroom presentation.

Students

1.Logical
Before making a choice, a logical thinker will carefully consider all the
available facts or data. Conducting tests, verifying theories, and developing a
thesis all need the use of logic. Since most science majors are adept at
debating, reasoning, and organization, the advantages of logical thinking go
well beyond the classroom.

2.Problem solver
Science majors are used to their plans failing. They are successful because
they are adamant on finding the source of the issue. They tend to welcome
difficulties and setbacks if they result in the opportunity to learn something
valuable along the way. They are not afraid to adapt to new circumstances.
3.Diligent
This personality quality is necessary for managing late nights spent studying,
extra hours spent on projects, and numerous after-school meetings. In
science, accuracy is crucial, and top students understand that, despite how
tiresome it may occasionally appear, putting in extra work will pay off in the
end.

4. Ambitious
With so many job options, science majors are driven and always looking for
ways to grow and learn. It is obvious that those responsible for the scientific
advances and discoveries over the last ten years have this essential quality.

5. Curious
Although curiosity is a natural human trait, science enthusiasts are particularly
interested and are often looking for explanations and conducting research.
