MODULE 9:  UNDERSTANDING THE LEARNERS

Directions:  Do what is asked. Research through the internet and

other sources.
Task 1. What is meant by diversity of learners? (5pts)
The term "diversity of learners" refers to how students differ
from one another, particularly in how they learn. Teachers can
utilize this knowledge to construct differentiated learning
activities that will allow all students to achieve their learning
objectives simply by identifying and valuing individual
differences among their pupils.

Task 2. How do learners differ? (5pts)

The differences between students are caused by a variety of

factors, including:
 ethnicity or cultural background (country, province,
language),
 intelligence,
 geographic inclinations for certain sexual orientations,
 socioeconomic level,
 needs, interests; and
 experiences.
We understand that each learner absorbs information differently,
but diversity helps students become more self-aware. The
diversity of the educational community benefits cognitive
development. The fact that each student is unique and that
subjects must be taught in a variety of ways to meet their needs,
interests, and experiences may also generate harmony. It is
critical to foster your pupils' development and success. All
students should be treated with dignity and respect.
Task 3. What differentiated activities must be applied to suit
learners’
needs, strengths, interests and experiences? (5pts)

. These are the activities that, in my opinion, should be employed

to respond to the learners' requirements, strengths, interests, and
experiences.
 design several learning stations
 Within the lecture, target different senses;
employ the strategy of think-pair-share;
 Students with comparable learning styles should be
grouped together; and
 Provide free study time.
Task 4. Create an infographic on diversity of learners.
(Infographics
are graphic visual representations of information, data and
knowledge
intended to present information quickly and clearly. (Wikipedia)
