We sent our reporter, Sophie Harris, to try some new
A exercise classes.

1 Stand-up paddleboard yoga

I love doing yoga and I usually do a yoga class three times a
week. This class was different to my normal class – it was on
water! It was very difficult to stay on the board and I fell into
the swimming pool a few times! But I really liked doing the
class – it was good exercise and great fun!

2 Hula hooping
I loved playing with my hula hoop when I was young, so I
really wanted to try this new class. It was quite difficult but
good exercise – especially for the stomach and arms. I was
very tired at the end of the class, but I really enjoyed it.

3 Free running
Free running is a fun and fast activity and it’s very popular
with young people in the UK. You run quickly around an
area and jump over walls and other objects. It was very good
exercise, but I didn’t enjoy doing it. I can run very fast, but I
can’t jump!
