warehouse processes, including putaway and picking strategies, slotting, inventory
management, and cross-docking.

In summary, SAP IM focuses on the management of inventory levels and movements

within a company, while SAP WM is responsible for the optimization of warehouse
operations. However, it is important to note that the two modules are closely
related and often integrated to ensure smooth operations within a company.
