Dr.

Ramakumar, graduated as the best outgoing student in the Master of Physiotherapy and
specialized in the field of Advanced Neurological Rehabilitation from Tamilnadu Dr. M.G.R
Medical University (India), in the year 2010. Dr. Ramakumar follows the Philosophy of
Hippocrates “Wherever the art of medicine is loved there is also a love of Humanity”. 
Following this mantra, He was awarded with the “Significant Contribution” to the field of
physiotherapy from the Indian Association of Physiotherapist, 2020. In addition he has
treated 1000 of patients with poor economic condition as part of his professional contribution.

He started his career and practice right 18 years of age from his bachelor days. Initially he
was a Junior Physiotherapist in Appusami Hospital (Salem- India) from 2007, for his
dedicated work and service in the field of physiotherapy he was promoted as Senior
Physiotherapist in the year 2010. Dr.Ramakumar was heading the Advanced Rehabilitation
Department at Voluntary health service (INDIA) since 2011, and he has continued to do his
consultation after 2018.

His latest project is Chennai Advanced Rehabilitation Centre where he continues to work
with patients with love and dedication. He could have chosen any other lucrative profession
but he chose neurophysiotherapy with the sole aim of bringing quality back into the life of his
patients.

Ramakumar focuses on bio-psychosocial approach, Individualised patient care and


Structured. And standardised treatment , and a holistic treatment for his patients. He has
expertise in handling wide range of patients with Neurological Rehabilitation, Pain
Management, Geriatric Rehabilitation, Spinal Rehabilitation. As a Master’s in Physiotherapy,
he is intensively trained from St. John Bangalore and CMC Vellore on integrated Residential
and Home Based Therapies.

Being a Mastery Certified in Manual Therapy (USA) and Certified Orthopaedic Manual
Therapist, he uses specific approaches that include manual techniques such as Myo-fascial
therapy and Trigger Point release, Mulligan techniques, Maitland approaches, Meconell
concepts, Rigid taping Techniques, Kinetic Control Training which emphasis hands on
techniques in treating soft tissues and joint structures for the purpose of modulating pain and
increasing range of motion (ROM) and increasing functional movement.

He brings a personal touch to guide his patients back to a high level of activity, health and
well-being.
