Way with Words is a international audio-to-text services and solutions company, providing
English language transcription solutions for thousands of clients globally since 2001. [3]

Companies record interviews of their group discussions, seminars or lectures and they
upload the audio to our bespoke workflow system. Their audio is then proccesed, allocated
to independent contractors (transcribers) according to teams whose workflow areas and
client preferences match. Once a transcript has been completed, it’s uploaded to our
system by the transcriber, queued for quality check by our managment team, and then send

Way With Words is made up of various departments. Their Projects Department is client
specific, and offers an exciting range of work. The Basic Transcription project offers
straightforward transcription for clients who does not require custom formatting (such as
time coding, speaker names, line numbering, independent reviews or unique templates).
All speakers are identified as SP, which makes these simple to type. Subject matter of
audio varies greatly across fields such as medical, political, financial and academic
research. Topics include banking in Canary Wharf, politics involving Barack Obama,
Vladimer Putin and even the United Nations. [27]

Independent contractors have to pore over each document they complete for us to ensure
that their quality is acceptable. Using Google and other research tools to research words,
terms, names and places is essential, as is running a Microsoft Word spell checker. Skills
such as being able to communicate properly via email with the operations team, signing
your emails of using your name and addressing operations in an appropriate professional
tone are non-negotiables. As an independent contractor, it’s important to remember that
you run your own business and that it’s necessary to treat Way With Words as a client. [35]
