What Was the Holocaust?😱
Jews were prohibited from farming land.
Anti-Semitism was a strong force in many Eastern European countries,
including Germany.
The Holocaust was the systematic, state-run murder by the Nazis of
people they considered to be undesirable for their ideal state.
The Holocaust started in 1933 when Adolf Hitler became Chancellor of
Germany and ended in 1945 after Germany surrendered from World War II.
When Hitler gained control of the German state in 1933, boycotts were
instituted against Jewish businesses and stores.
What Is Anti-Semitism?🤔
Groups of people, not just individuals, can be scapegoated, and
unfairly blamed in society.😢
Antisemitism began on the Middle Ages and was when some Europeans
blamed Jewish for Jesus death☠.

massacred Jews in riots called pogroms🙄. And in early 1900s Holocaust took place

Many Jews were under Nazi rule.
In 1942 the Nazis decided a policy known as the "Final Solution" that
required the murder of all Jews.
When Germany invaded the Soviet Union, Nazi death squads brought
together Jews, Roma and political opponents and executed them.
The Nazis built six extermination camps: Auschwitz, Belzec, Chelmno,
Majdanek, Sobibor and Treblinka.
In 1933, the Nazis arrested homosexuals, gypsies, and placed them in
concentration camps and killed them in gas chambers along with the Jews.
In 1939, the Nazis began a program that assassinated the physically and
mentally disabled.
