Jer-Toy is joined by
another character, Mother Jane. She said this is
the name her kids always called her, based on
her name, Lucy Jane.
Adams, who said she worked at the H.D. Lee
factory in Lebanon for 20 years, says she wants
to share educational stories with young people.
“There’s seven stories in this, teaching kids
how to think and solve their problems, so it’s
educational,” she said.
She recalled her own experiences growing up.
“I was raised up in Arkansas in a one-room
schoolhouse, the older kids taught the younger
ones,” she said.
She was born in the small town of Payette,
Ark. and later moved to Lebanon where she
has lived more than 50 years. She had several
children and has a strong relationship with
God, she said.
According to the back of her book, “Jer-Toy
