(1) 1 Q1E-BM5283
1. Principle of MR fluoroscopy
The MR fluoroscopy is defined as a continuous and repetitive imaging mode under specified imaging conditions.
Normal imaging is processed in the sequence of pre-scan, scan, and reconstruction. In case of fluoroscopy
sequence, scan and reconstruction are processed while overlapping with each other. Pre-scan is executed first
time only and it is not executed any more. The scan interval becomes the shortest under the imaging conditions.
Also ,the selectable imaging sequence is limited. (Refer to the specifications)

Scan: 1 2 3 4 5

Reconstruction: 1 2 3 4 5

Scan 1 Scan 2 Scan 3 Scan 4 Scan 5

2. Measuring operation method
(1) Select a scan card.

(2) Select GE or GE EPI out of the sequence names of the basic group of the scan card.
In the scan option, the following are optional.
GE : SG, RSSG, TRSG, BASG, PBSG
GE EPI : RSSG
The basic group is displayed as shown below. Set each parameter of the basic group to a desired value,
referring to the instruction manual for the system.

(3) Intrinsic parameters of fluoroscopy are contained in the Dynamic group. Click the Dynamic tab and set the
parameters to desired values. (For the parameters common to those of other sequences, refer to the
instruction manual for the system)

(3-1) Fluoro
By turning on Fluoro, imaging is executed in fluoroscopy sequence. By turning off Fluoro, normal imaging
is executed.

(3-2) Disk Save

By turning on Disk Save, fluoroscopic images can be saved into the data base. Max. 1024 images (including
multi-slice images) can be saved into the data base.By turning off Disk Save, fluoroscopic images are not
saved. In this case, the number of fluoroscopic images is not limited.
Disk Save is displayed only when Fluroro is turned on.

(4) Imaging is started by pressing Start button.

(5) For terminating the imaging, press Stop button after pressing Pause button or ABORT key on the keyboard.

-3- Q1E-BM5283
3. Cautions
(1) The scan time interval does not always coincide with the image display time interval in order to display the
latest image at all times.

(2) If multi-slice imaging is executed when TRSG, BASG or PBSG is selected out of the scan options, images
are not displayed until measurement of multi-slice data ends, unlike in normal imaging.
