5TH NAMDU WHATSAPP ANNIVERSARY

SUMMARY OF SUGGESTION/WAY FORWARD

FROM THE PRESIDENT’S DESK: A new Makeke we all pray for. Happy
what's app anniversary week. I want to thank every Makeke indigenes home
and outside for their quest to making Makeke work in all spheres. As we all
know, from the days of our fathers, Makeke has being in the fore front of
development. Before the advent of the teachers college (TC II), Makeke have
produced excellent educationists of repute, respected political gurus,
recognize business morgues and the likes. Makeke was the the first to form
an association ( Our NAMDU) which many communities have emulated and
today, those communities have reform theirs to standard with even more
recognition. Permit me to ask. What will it take our (NAMDU) and by
extension Makeke to see these needed reforms? As we all know things are no
longer the way they used to be. We are in a time were we need to do so many
things for ourselves.
In all sincerity, our people are trying in that regard but as a people we need
more. Our prayer for them is more blessings in whatever they lay their hands
to do (AMEN). WE must cut off our socialism. In one way or the other, we are
all in it but as the saying goes, IF YOU ARE IN ROME YOU BEHAVE LIKE A
ROMAN. For us to move more forward, we need to maximize ourselves and
our resources. Our cost of celebrating WELE WELE and EGURE for our men
age group and EVORI for our women is very high in this our modern day
economy.
Sir / Ma, my own opinion, if it will be possible, I will suggest that those age
group that are yet to be named do their WELE WELE and EGURE the
sometime while those that have being named continue with the individual
celebrations. The proceed from the combine celebration can be channel to
projects that will benefit the majority. My people I come in peace ooooo. I
want to congratulate ourselves for this WhatsApp anniversary celebration
week and I want to salute our dear president who dedicated to week for the
discussion our community (Makeke). We should not wait for anybody to come
do it for us. We have being doing it ourselves. We can do more. Makeke is a
moving train, we all must be involve and be ready in moving it. Our feature is
in our hands
OKOGBE DANIEL: I want suggest that our youths in the land and outside the
shores of Makeke should be talked to and advised as brothers, encourage
them and make see the good potentials in them they need to harness. Actually,
we have no other village to call our own, no other place of origin but Makeke.
Let us not kill ourselves, destroy ourselves and maimed ourselves all in the
name of politicking. But see ourselves as brothers and sisters from Ollah,
Odun, Ileteju, Ajoyo and Oya'oza inclusive. Finally sir, I just want to believe
that "we" are not walking under any spell to kill ourselves in that of Makeke.
If, let the elders say something very important on time, and if not, this is time
to form formidable force to reckon with within our environs. God bless you
sir, and grant you more wisdom to carry on this mantle insha Allah. (Amin).
MRS. KIKE AKHRAN : I appreciate the like minds that came together to bring
Namdu into existence. God bless you all. Rightly said, though the road to
great success is seemly rough and tough but the brave and determined gets
the quality of his/her choice. What do I mean, Makeke to achieve a scheduled
glory which we all just witness (by God's grace) must dig into Self - Discovery,
THINK BIG, in having a mission statement for STEPPINGSTONES of GROWTH,
these are embedded in our TRUTH, FRIENDSHIP, FORGIVENESS,
ACCEPTANCE, PASSION and PASSAGE for each other irrespective of religion,
quarters, status or sex, to cultivate the culture of AFFIRMATIONS, BELIEVE,
FULFILLMENT and CERTAINTY of PURPOSE. Most of us have been around
places and I must confess MAKEKE is a TREASURE to behold indeed. Just as
our president said in his communication, the last time I visited home I went
seeing the stone fencing/ wall, it was amazing. I often wonder about how
those piled and positioned stones where arranged without any mechanize
machine. It must have taken a united strength to have done them. I say let's
put our arrows in the quivers and shoot positivity into our great land of OMA,
Let's put values in Actions as a signature if strength to build and not to war
against one another. We can encourage wisdom and knowledge, creativity,
curiosity, open- mindedness, love of learning, bravery, kindness, authenticity
and the outcome will be VICTORY for us all. So let's keep our temperance in
check, l believes all sons and daughters of MAKEKE are meek and humble in
character and I pray that this occasion stamps Makeke in the history and map
of greatness. Happy celebration.
MR. OLOGUN STANLEY: I wish to suggest the issue of our vigilante. How do
we encourage and care for them? At a time they were known, feared and
respected across the entire local government. Our neighboring communities
admired us and even hired them for protection. Even the police repeated and
worked closely with them. What is the situation now? Can we review the
situation and reenergize them? They need to be on ground to check make
intruders when they starts coming into the community in twos and threes
before they become hundred and start picking their sultan of Uyeshi.

MR. ALBERT AYODELE: I suggest we find out the processes and cost of
obtaining a government approved gun(s) for them as that will improve their
confidence on the job.
Considerations could also be made on a monthly or quarterly stipend to
motivate them on the job commitment. I admit we might not be able to
sponsor a special training for them at the moment but that could also be a
future project or better still, any of Makeke sons or daughter in the force (any
military/Para-military) could use his or her influence to arrange for such
training for a very subsidized cost. I believe the above steps will definitely
restore and even improve their previous standard.
MR. ALBERT AYODELE: I also want to say something about the community
town hall please. While I appreciate the government effort to build that place
for us, I want to the handlers of that project to at least consider an access road
to the place and also complete it for the community for temporary use.
Makeke is too big for that hall that can hardly host a wedding reception, much
more our Makeke day. Please this is not to criticize anyone but observations
for possible improvement and future expansion of the project to standard.
I am trusting God that two or three sons and daughters of Makeke will join
hands to build us a befitting civic center that will make a big difference very
soon as God continue to bless Makeke in Jesus name.
I want to appreciate the efforts of all our past and present leaders, politicians,
ministers of the gospel, civil servants, students, community chiefs, etc in
building Makeke to where we are now. Victory is success. No success, no
victory. Therefore, don't give up on us.
I love Makeke
MR. ABDULRAZAAK: I suggest they invite the leaders and the executives of
the vigilante to a meeting where their issues will be discussed exhaustively,
and then whatever needs to be done to improve lon their performance and
competence will be decided.
God bless Makeke and her people.

MR. CLEMENT OBUH: Makeke is blessed with Sons and Daughters that are
talented in different ways, profession etc. Presidio, let's look inwards as we
begin to use our sons who are musicians outside the shores of Makeke as live
band during Makeke Day celebrations henceforth...My humble opinion.

MR. AMOS ALAO: I must sincerely commend everyone for our contribution &
support for d development of our land. History will one day speak more to this
little impact we have made. Just know that people are there to discourage u
when it comes to community issues but don't be discouraged. Do your part &
also be prayerful. God will always reward your genuineness of heart.
My small suggestion as addition to other suggestions/contribution is on
Makeke Day let us think of something that will make our youth in diaspora to
look forward to coming home for ds special day. It brings strong bond.
E.g. Talent hunts with incentives, Plaque, Trophy, etc. We can then begin to
think of sponsors as we progresses.

ALJ. IBRAHIM LAMIDI: The under listed have become critical needs for
Community to be on the path of sustainable growth and development. Makeke
must be known to be a Primary producer of one thing or the other.......
preferably Agric related. As it stands today, Makeke sells nothing to the
outside world but buys from outside yet from the little transfer incomes that
trickle into the community.
Next most important, is the issue of how to re-orientate our youths by way of
capacity building and redirecting their strength towards positive contribution
to our immediate society.
Protection of our landed resources across by way of managing our borders,
land leases and outright gift to indigenes of other Communities for any
reasons whatsoever is also critical.
Everything on land and within it constitutes sustenance resource for us as a
people. No land is barren but the people that own the land may be barren .We
are not barren, so how well have attended to this? By the grace, if i secure
victory in the contest before me, I will more than ever be energized to assist in
addressing these critical issues. Aside the above, where synergy can be forged
by blessed sons and daughters of Makeke, then faster abd better

MR. JOSEPH LAWANI: Permit me to use this channel to remind us that

Makeke is a big family and we should not allow politics to divide us. Political
seasons come and go while we will continue to leave together in Makeke. I
repeat we should not permit politics to divide or create enmity amongst us. I
pray that the peace of the Lord will continue to reign in Makeke in Jesus ‘name
Amen.
MR. OGBOR KELVIN: I wish to humbly suggest that Makeke Town Council
should be constituted to complement the efforts of NAMDU, Oba and his
Council of chiefs. Let us have a very formidable Town Council made up of
Representatives who are bold and ready to say the truth from every age
group, women groups, youth group and religious groups.
I remember in the days of my Uncle Mr J.O Adelekun, Mr. Dele Amodun and
Mr Raphael Alao all of blessed memories, Town Council meetings were
monthly. Honestly, with a formidable Town Council that will be meeting
monthly, issues that bothers on Security, Education, Boundaries and
everything other thing that will bring development to Makeke will be
discussed as they come up. This will greatly help to complement the efforts of
the national body NAMDU. This is my candid opinion. May God prosper the
land of Makeke. Amen.
MR. TERRY IGODIFO: Forgiveness and Sacrifice. Imagine as Makeke people
we can always forgive ourselves and it because an attitude,And also sacrifice
for one another no matter how little, Makeke town can become greater than
we ever imagine. Forgiveness is key toSon's advancement of any course. This
is how great men advance the frontiers of their land”. God bless all the sons
and daughters of Makeke in Jesus name, Amen 🙏
MRS. OPHILIA VERA OMOLAIYE : I wish to speak on the issue of coming out
emass during a community work, like some persons have rightly said,
whatever we do in Makeke is for all of us. I remembered when I was young,
our parents will come out to do community work, they work happily and fast
without complaining. Nowadays, I know that even if the king demand that we
come out enmass to carry out our community responsibility I believe 90% will
not honor that, their reason?: "That one na old skool life's". Most persistent and
pertinent question is "What can you do for others?....When have a mindset of
doing something to develop others or a Community, only then, community
work will be a thing of joy to you.
Truly, development can only thrive when the people are united with love for
one another. We must be fair in all our dealing with one another, individuals,
quarters and clans. Fact that we are first and foremost one large family
without recourse to our geographical location, we must not see Ojoyo as too
far that we cannot go there to visit our loved ones, we must stop promoting
one clan above the others, we must not see Oyan-oza as where things are
happening only to the neglect of other settlement, we must allow justice and
equity to guide our actions and inaction at all times, we should never allow
distance to separate us from the love for each other. it is only this that can
bring about the desired unity in the land, and this will eventually usher in
development My opinion though
May God bless us all🙏
MR. STANLEY OLOGUN: ‘Forgiveness and Sacrifice’. These are the pillars of
peace, happiness, and development. I think this week of focus that the
President declared has given us something to work on. We have where to start
now. It is Forgive and Sacrifice. Let us put them to test. Let us declare a month
for peace and forgiveness. It should be planned and declared by his royal
highness. During this month all those that have been offended in any form
should be identified and be begged to forgive. The best way to settle any
issues is through forgiveness. The one who forgives will have to make
sacrifice. We are doing it for God and for the good of everybody. The issues on
ground are so many. They hinder every community progress. I suggest a
month long campaign to bring out issues where we can ask those offended to
make the necessary sacrifice and forgive. Just as we plant and water but it is
God who makes the crops grow, so it will be as we campaign for forgiveness
and Sacrifice. It is God that will touch minds that are have been offended. I
think this is what we have been looking for. It is the best way to dedicate our
community on to the hands, blessings, and protection of the Almighty.
REV. SHOLA OGBEDEBI: I wish to suggest that we do include the pursuit of a
higher institution in our agenda. We remember the window of progress
MATECO brought to Makeke. We are living witness to what AAU brought to
Ekpoma. We almost got a private University for Makeke if not for the
insecurity in Nigeria that diverted the project to Ghana. So, any of our sons/
daughters that have such opportunity should do it for Makeke, Please. My
humble suggestion sirs and mas.
