Re: Advantages of DBMS

This consulting team believes that your company would greatly benefit from a database management
system after reviewing the operations of your company and evaluating your needs. Data sharing
between the departments will be possible thanks to a database management system, which will
improve coordination. The need by user groups for information currently held by the organization
has been one of the issues that has been repeatedly brought to our attention. The data is not present
in these user groups' applications, making it difficult for them to access it. Each authorized user
group will be able to access the data from a single central data source that is provided by a database
management system. Additionally, we observe inefficiencies in data processing brought on by
duplicate data from applications. The fact that the data is frequently inconsistent between
applications presents an even bigger issue.

The DBMS will decrease data redundancy and duplication. We suggest you start the process of
converting to a DBMS. A database administrator must be appointed or hired for this conversion. A
DBMS necessitates meticulous planning, management, and upkeep of the central data store. These
tasks would be carried out by the database administrator, who would also manage user authorization
of the information.

The change from a flat file system to a DMBS will take time in the short term but will allow for a
more efficient and productive company in the long term.
