AND REPLACE IN THE
CANISTER.

DISENGAGE CLUTCH

CONNECT DISCHARGE HOSE TO THE


BLASTING TOOL, I.E. DUMP GUN
PREPARING FOR BLASTING
REENGAGE THE CLUTCH BY
PUSHING THE CLUTCH HANDLE
FORWARD TO CLICK.
MOVE THROTTLE
HANDLE FOTWARD TO
INCRESAE ENGINE RPM
TWO OPERATORS REQUIRED
PREPARING FOR BLASTING
1. WITH THE BLASTING TOOL CONNECTED AND
HELD CLOSED BY THE FIRST OPERATOR,
2. THE SECOND OPERATOR WILL INCREASE ENGINE
RPM TO 1500 TO 2000 RPM WHILE WATCHING THE
PRESSURE INCREASE ON THE PRESSURE GAUGE
**TWO OPERATORS ARE REQUIRED TO SET THE
PRESSURE**.
3. DO NOT EXCEED THE RATED PRESSURE OF THE
PUMP, 5,000 PSI.
PREPARING FOR BLASTING
4. UPON REACHING THE DESIRED PRESSURE
OR THE MAXIMUM RATED PRESSURE OF YOUR
PUMP, THE SECOND OPERATOR MUST STOP
INCREASING THE ENGINE RPM*.

* EXCEEDING THE RATED PRESSURE WILL


CAUSE THE RUPTURE DISC TO BURST.
PREPARING FOR BLASTING
5. CYCLE THE DUMP GUN CONTROL TO INSURE
THE RRESSURE RISES TO THE DESIRED LEVEL WHEN
THE DUMP GUN CONTROL IS CLOSED AND
RETURNS TO “0” PSI WHEN THE DUMP GUN
CONTROL IS RELEASED.
6. VISUALLY CHECK THE HIGH PRESSURE SYSTEM
FOR LEAKS OR DRIPS.
PREPARING FOR BLASTING

WARNING
WATER ESCAPING FROM A LEAK HAS THE SAME
CUTTING POWER AS THE WATER EXITING THE
NOZZLE AT THE END OF THE DUMP GUN.
UPON COMPLETION OF WORK
PULL THE THROTTLE BACK
SLOWLY TO REDUCE THE
ENGINE RPM TO IDLE TO
ALLOW A COOL DOWN
PERIOD FOR THE ENGINE
(APPROXIMATELY 5
MINUTES)

PULL THE THROTTLE ALL


THE WAY BACK TO STOP
THE ENGINE
TROUBLESHOOTING:
PRESSURE DROPS SUDDENLY
1 LOOK FOR VISIBLE LEAKS
2 CHECK RUPTURE DISC FOR FLOWING WATER
3 CHECK PUMP WELL FOR LEAKS FROM
PLUNGER PACKINGS
4 INSPECT FILTER BAG
5 BELTS SLIPPING (USUALLY SMELL
HOT RUBBER)
TROUBLESHOOTING:
PRESSURE DROPS GRADUALLY
POSSIBLE CAUSES RELATING TO THE PUMP:

1 LOOK FOR VISIBLE LEAKS

2 CHECK PUMP WELL FOR LEAKS FROM PLUNGER PACKINGS (TURN


OFF PLUNGER LUBRICATION WATER FOR A FEW SECONDS TO
DETERMINE IF WATER CONTINUES TO FLOW FROM ONE OR MORE
OF THE PLUNGERS WHEN THE PUMP IS AT PRESSURE)

3 REPLACE THE DUMP GUN NOZZLE

4 INSPECT PUMP VALVES FOR WEAR OR CUTS


PUMP REQUIREMENTS AFTER SHUT DOWN

TURN OFF THE 12v ELECTRIC


CHARGE PUMP.

TURN OFF INLET WATER SUPPLY

CHECK PUMP CRANKCASE OIL


LEVEL AND QUALITY
PUMP OIL MILKY (WHITE) (AFTER 8 HOURS IDLE)
WATER IN THE PUMP OIL
OIL APPEAR AS WHITE OR CHOCOLATE MILK
CHECK PLUNGER ADAPTER SEALS
CHECK FOR FAILED PACKING

DRAIN AND REPLACE MILKY


COLORED OIL AS SOON AS
OBSERVED.
NEVER OPERATE THE PUMP
WITH MILKY COLORED OIL IN THE
CRANKCASE.
ALWAYS COMPLETELY DRAIN OR
ANTI-FREEZE PUMP. LIQUID END,
FILTER, CHARGE PUMP AND HOSES
IN COLD WEATHER

(PUMP LIQUID END AND WET


COMPONENTS WILL FREEZE AND
CRACK IN FREEZING TEMPERATURES)
