1. INTRODUCTION: The synthetic fabric dyes and industrial dyestuff constitute one of the largest groups of chemicals
manufactured around the world. There are more than 10,000 industrial dyes that are implemented in different industries
such as textile, leather, tanning, paper, pharmaceutical, cosmetics, and plastic industries. azo dyes and fluorine dyes
constitute a significant part of the overall class of dyestuff and are more destructive to the environment than many other
common dyes. moreover, some of the azo dyes, fluorone dyes, and their products are extremely carcinogenic. colored
organic dyes affect the aquatic ecosystem because they block sunlight and thereby reduce dissolved oxygen concentrations
.an acute exposure to organic dyes may cause tissue necrosis, jaundice, heart stroke, etc.., in humans (manoranjan behera et
al.,2016). Methylene blue (MB) is the widely used dye in industry. This MB has been reported for their negative impact on living
cells and organisms. The oral median lethal dose (LD50) of methylene blue in rats has been estimated as 1180, respectively. It
was also found that at low and moderate doses of MB arterial blood pressure increased, whereas at high doses it will worsen
systemic hypotension, myocardial depression ,and hypertension after endotoxemia.(H.Zhang et al.,2004).To overcome these
water pollutants, semiconductor nanoparticles were extensively used by the researchers for the removal of various organic
dyes in the water by photocatalysis. The metal nanoparticles receive much attention due to its unique properties such as
localized surface plasmon resonance (LSPR), light absorption capacities, large surface to volume ratio and have unique optical
properties compared to that of bulk material. The researchers are very much interested to use semiconductors nanoparticles
such as copper, titanium, and zinc, etc., Among these nanoparticles, copper oxide nanoparticles have attracted much
attention due to their applications such as antimicrobial, antiseptic, germicide, catalysis, high-temperature superconductors,
solar energy conversion tools, etc.., furthermore, it has the novel properties in photocatalysis and stability in recent years.
Nanoparticles synthesis can be mediated by physical, chemical, and green methods. In the physical method, physical forces
are involved in the formation of large, stable, and well-defined nanostructures. its methods such as colloidal dispersion
method, vapor condensation, physical fragmentation, amorphous crystallization, and so on. Although it synthesizing stable
nanostructures, it has several disadvantages such as it needs high temperature and pressure while synthesizing. It needs
large equipment and a large space area for setting up the machines. By the use of chemicals we can also synthesize
nanoparticles .chemical methods include precipitation pyrolysis, chemical microemulsion, wet chemical, and microwave-
assisted combustion. From synthesizing nanoparticles in chemical methods involves the use of the toxic chemicals, non-
biodegradable stabilizing agents made hazardous for the environment and person handling it. Last decade a new method of
green synthesis has introduced. Green synthesis occurs through the use of plants or micro-organisms. The synthesis from
plants extract has received more attention due to its low-cost, non-toxicity, environment friendly, safe, and green approach
Green synthesis is the most convenient way for synthesizing nanoparticles. This method represents an advance over the
other methods because it is simple, cost-effective, and relatively reproducible. There is no need for high pressure, energy,
temperature, or toxic chemicals. The plant produces more stable nanoparticles compared to the other synthetic method and
the risk of contamination is also lower(Chella purushothama devatha et al.,2012). A crop green Chilli has grown widespread
throughout India. it is used for flavoring to make spicy food. It also has significant medicinal properties and is essential in
pharmaceutical industries due to its antiseptic and digestive properties. A total of 80% of these crop leaves were into the
agricultural waste every year. Nanoparticles synthesized by using capsicum annum.L leaves extract shows a much
photocatalytic activity. This study focuses on decolorization of specific azo dyes and this decolorization can be totally done by
green synthesized nanoparticles which are bio-compatible and less toxic to the environment.
