 Partially obscuring inflammation

INTERPRETATION/RESULT:
 Negative for intraepithelial lesion or malignancy
 Shift in flora suggestive of bacterial vaginosis
 Inflammation (abundant neutrophils)

CYTOHORMONAL MATURATION INDEX (CHMI):


 Superficial cells: 85%
 Intermediate cells: 15%
 Parabasal cells: 0%

ESTROGEN EFFECT: Moderate

COMMENT: Abundant coccobacilli noted.
